         Do you like going out with your friends and family? What about visiting a place where you can have fun and learn at the same time? This place is the Museu Das Minas E do Metal (MMM); if you haven’t visited it yet, don’t waste more time and come to this knowledge trip as fast as as you can!

As one of the most important museums of the city, the MMM provides to people of all ages knowledge about the whole procedure of attainment and usage of ores in our lives in an interactive and fun way.

          Long time ago, the building was one of the places where Minas Gerais’ government was hosted at; but recently went through a restoration process, and now supports rooms with lots of touch screen monitors in which the visitors can involve completely with the expositions, being able to create elements in an interactive periodic table and much more!

        Some chambers don’t hold any computers, but there is always something incredible behind every door of the museum; in every corner you can find great works of art or instalations showing rare ores and the history behind them. It is impossible to visit Belo Horizonte without driving by the Museu Das Minas E Do Metal!

Tips:

      * If you want to save money, visit the museum on Thursdays, when the ticket is 100% free;

     * Guests aren’t allowed to eat or drink anything during the visitation, but outside the building it’s not hard to find great restaurants, such as Xodó!
     * The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 12 to 18 o'clock, but the tickets are sold from 12 to 17 o'clock; except for Thursday, when it operates from 12 to 22 o'clock and it's possible to buy tickets from 12 to 21 o'clock.
